Sewed up this little playmat for Alex (and one for Talia too-- when did I start having to make TWO of things?) It has chalkboard fabric on the other side but I haven't dug out the chalk just yet. He actually seems to drive his cars over the roads and it's pretty cute.

Omigos... I *LOVE* this playmat!! I'm so impressed that I had to leave a comment. My boys would love this (and yes, I'd be in your camp of also having to make two!)... is this something a novice sewer could do?
Very cute. I bought a whole bunch of this fabric to make something for my son but just haven't done it yet. The playmat is a great idea!
