Giada's Rigatoni with Vegetable Bolognese
Um hmmmm. A nice red wine-y taste. Very filling. It's made with carrots, onion, red bell pepper, garlic/thyme/oregano, mushrooms (regular and dried-- important!), tomato paste, red wine and the trick is a little mascapone cheese mixed in. And parm of course. Here's the recipe...

Hi! I'm a reader of your blog - maybe the 4th?! ;)
Anyway, I love your recipes. This one looks spectacular, but I'm a big fan of Giada, too.
You seem to have good luck getting your family to eat vegetarian and local/fresh with you...I'm still working on that goal with my husband and child.
P.S. Our kids go to the same pre-school and I see you occassionally. I always want to say hi, but my child is always running here or there. I found your blog from Denise at Mom in Madison. :0)
But you're listed as "Anonymous" so I don't know who you are!?
Don't be fooled-- my kids don't eat what we eat. I usually make two (or three) "meals" for dinner each night. I know you're not supposed to do that but I'm certainly not going to sacrifice what I eat because of some darn kids! I hope that leading by example is enough-- let's face it, I didn't eat this stuff as a kid either!
Definitely say hi at school some time!
